A heartbreaking post calling for justice over a young girl who was raped by her uncle and cousin—and later died from VVF injuries—drew a controversial and bitter response from a woman who wrote, “Men talk about this case? They won’t talk about it because the majority of men are rapists… Majority of men rape their girlfriends and even their wives, so what did you expect? LOL.”

While anger and frustration over sexual violence are understandable, generalizing that most men are rapists is unfair and harmful. It shifts attention from the real issue—seeking justice for victims and holding offenders accountable—to promoting gender hatred. Addressing rape requires unity, empathy, and education, not collective blame. Such sweeping accusations discourage honest dialogue and alienate allies who want to fight against abuse.
