A man begged Nigerians for help after a supposedly wealthy stranger — allegedly with naval officers — destroyed his car because of how he drove. He posted video evidence and pleaded for witnesses and accountability, saying the attack was unprovoked and driven by the other man’s influence.

Comment: “I would DEFINITELY run him over! This is why I can’t drive in Lagos.”

Reaction: That reply captures anger but is dangerous and illegal. Vehicular retaliation turns victims into criminals and risks death, injury, and prosecution.
Instead: prioritise safety, preserve evidence (video, photos, plate numbers, witness names), file a police complaint, ask for escalation to the naval oversight/body if officers were involved, contact human-rights groups and a lawyer, and share verified evidence publicly to force accountability. Lawful pressure, not vigilante violence, delivers lasting justice.
