An account notorious for mocking Igbos posted a video of two women dancing in revealing clothes, falsely claiming it represented Igbo tradition. This led to several hateful comments, including one that read, “This is IBO women traditional attire. Y’all should stop stealing Yoruba attires and embrace your nudity culture please oh ejooooorrrrr.”

This statement is nothing but tribal mockery wrapped in ignorance. The Igbo people have a proud and deeply rooted culture that should never be reduced to insults or false comparisons. Using ethnicity as a punchline only deepens division and fuels unnecessary hatred among Nigerians.

Red flag 🚩: When jokes attack a people’s heritage, they stop being funny — they become dangerous.
