After a video surfaced of a man threatening to kill non-Muslims who refuse to join Islam or pay tax, anger and condemnation followed — rightfully so. But one user went further, commenting, “No religion enjoys killing others like Islam.”
That statement is false and unfair. Extremists exist in every religion, twisting beliefs for their own violent agendas. The actions of a few cannot define the faith of millions who live peacefully, pray sincerely, and love their neighbors.
Islam does not “enjoy killing” — extremists do. And they exist precisely because hate keeps being recycled through comments like this.
We can condemn violence without spreading stereotypes that deepen division. Peace will never grow where prejudice is planted.
