A post highlighted the Federal Pensioners of Nigeria threatening a nationwide naked protest on November 24 if the government fails to pay their outstanding pension increment arrears and palliative allowances.

One user commented, “It can only happen in a failed Nation like Nigeria,” labeling the country as failed.

While frustration with systemic failures is understandable, sweeping statements like this reduce complex issues to insults and discourage constructive dialogue. Calling a nation “failed” ignores the hardworking citizens, institutions, and reforms that still function despite challenges.

Criticism should inspire solutions, not blanket condemnation. Highlighting problems while seeking accountability builds progress — name-calling only deepens division and cynicism.
