A man made a thoughtful post urging adult men to protect teenage girls who may develop innocent crushes on them, rather than exploiting their vulnerability. Instead of supporting that message, someone dropped a deeply insensitive comment: “But she no be all those ones wey dey go nudes online without being under duress.”

This response completely misses the point. It shifts blame onto minors, as if a child’s immaturity or bad decisions somehow justifies predatory behavior from adults. That kind of thinking is dangerous. It normalizes exploitation, excuses abuse, and creates a narrative where victims are blamed for their own vulnerability.

Teenage girls deserve protection, guidance, and boundaries — not judgment or sexualization. Adults are responsible for acting like adults, full stop. Comments like this only encourage predators and undermine efforts to keep young girls safe.
