A man shared how a lady borrowed N20,000 from him and later refused to repay, boldly insisting he shouldn’t even ask for it. While many condemned her behaviour, one comment took an unnecessary turn, stating: “Moral lesson: I don’t have money anytime girl ask or try to borrow from me.”

This kind of reaction is unfair and shortsighted. One woman’s dishonesty should not become a weapon used against all women. Turning a personal bad experience into a blanket rule only fuels distrust and punishes genuinely responsible people who may one day need real help. Scammers exist in every gender, and using stereotypes as a shield does nothing but encourage bitterness and false assumptions.

The real lesson is simple: lend only what you can afford to lose — but don’t let one person’s wrongdoing reshape how you see everyone else.
