A disturbing video showed a couple locked in a heated dispute, with the wife pulling out a knife and threatening to stab her husband after he refused to leave their home. While many condemned the dangerous escalation, one user dropped a reckless comment: “I know men like this — after triggering her behind camera you set camera dey form victim.”

This type of comment is dangerous. It excuses violence without knowing the full story and tries to turn a life-threatening act into something understandable simply because “she was triggered.” No amount of provocation justifies picking up a weapon. Normalizing this thinking encourages people to use knives, threats, and aggression instead of walking away.

Violence is violence — and blaming the victim only fuels more of it.
