A viral video showed a man recounting a brutal attack by Fulani men in his community, with a chilling twist—some Fulani residents they knew personally, who even called neighbours by name, were allegedly among the attackers. The narration intensified public fear and debates around hidden threats, identity, and community trust, especially in Lagos.
Amid the reactions, a comment escalated the conversation into security alarmism: “The amount of sleeper cell in Lagos will be crazy once they’re activated.” While the comment reflects fear of uncontrolled insecurity, linking it to ethnic groups risks deepening division in South West Nigeria and cities hosting diverse populations like Lagos State.
Fear is valid. Generalized suspicion is costly. The real priority remains protecting communities, strengthening intelligence, and building safer cities—not assuming the enemy is already everywhere.
