A comment circulating online bluntly stated: “All women are the same. Selfish creatures.”

This remark is a classic example of harmful stereotyping. It generalizes the behaviors of some individuals to an entire gender, erasing individuality, personal choice, and context. By framing all women as selfish, it dismisses the countless women who act with empathy, loyalty, and integrity in relationships, families, and communities.

Such statements perpetuate mistrust and resentment, encouraging cynicism and defensive behavior in interactions with women. They also normalize prejudice, making it socially acceptable to judge women collectively for the actions of a few. Human behavior is diverse, and moral or emotional qualities cannot—and should not—be assigned based on gender.
