Such comments reinforce toxic narratives that equate a person’s worth with wealth, while dismissing the realities of unemployment, economic hardship, and systemic challenges many people face. It also normalizes public shaming and hostility toward men who may already be vulnerable.
Beyond the insult, statements like this deepen class prejudice and fuel gender hostility online. They discourage empathy, growth, and accountability, replacing them with ridicule and contempt.
