A report that a court remanded 52 Ekpoma students for protesting against kidnapping and insecurity sparked heated reactions across social media.

One extreme response read: “If we don’t end One Nigeria, One Nigeria will be the end of us… The violent taketh it by force, Go extinct or End Nigeria.” This falls under violent political rhetoric because it openly promotes destruction of the country through force. It does not argue for reform, restructuring, or legal change; it calls for chaos and extinction as solutions. Language like this escalates fear and division rather than addressing the real issues behind the protest—public safety, justice, and accountability. When political frustration turns into calls for violence, it moves from criticism into dangerous extremism that puts everyone at risk.
