A post displaying four women in separate frames—one smoking, one wearing a leg chain, one with waist beads, and one with a tattoo—asked viewers to identify a “red flag.” Among the responses, one comment stood out for the wrong reasons: “A man who doesn’t find these attractive is gay.”
This remark is both ignorant and offensive. Attraction is subjective, not compulsory, and a man’s preferences do not determine his sexuality. Equating disinterest with being gay reinforces harmful stereotypes and weaponizes sexuality as an insult. It also dismisses personal boundaries and individual taste. Conversations about attraction should allow room for choice and respect, not pressure or prejudice disguised as opinion.
