It highlights the real struggles many Nigerians face in light of challenging economic conditions. However, the mocking comment, “This is just the genesis of your sorrow. Ndi Yoruba, Ndi ara,” not only dismisses her plight but also brings in tribalism, which is deeply harmful.

Such a response lacks empathy and fuels unnecessary division, turning a personal hardship into an attack on an entire ethnic group. Mocking someone’s regret or suffering, especially during difficult times, does nothing to address the real issues at hand. Instead, it promotes discord and disunity in a country that desperately needs solidarity to overcome challenges.
