While some supported the idea, saying “age is just a number,” others disagreed. One particular comment stated, “As time goes by, you can’t control his cheating behaviour because as you age, he will start seeing you as his mother.”
This comment reflects an unfortunate stereotype about relationships with significant age gaps, assuming that the younger partner will eventually lose interest or become unfaithful. Such assumptions are damaging and dismissive of the possibility of mature, respectful partnerships between individuals of different ages.
Every relationship is unique, and mutual trust, respect, and communication should take precedence over superficial factors like age. Age does not determine the success of a relationship, and a younger partner does not guarantee infidelity.
