A recent post on X (formerly Twitter) criticized COZA for showcasing wealth while welcoming a pastor with three Rolls Royces and a private jet for their program. In response, someone argued, “It’s not different from the club and parties. It’s the same ideology.”

This comparison is flawed. Religious spaces are meant to inspire spirituality and humility, not mirror the extravagance of nightlife. Comparing churches to clubs downplays the responsibility of religious leaders to focus on community service and moral leadership, not luxury.

Accountability in religious settings is essential, as people expect faith-based organizations to prioritize charity over flamboyance. True leadership should reflect service, not materialism.
