A post on X (formerly Twitter) criticized COZA for showcasing wealth by welcoming a pastor with three Rolls Royces and a private jet. In response, someone commented, “Christianity in Nigeria is sold around wealth.”
This comment reflects concerns about the commercialization of faith, as some churches emphasize material success over core values like humility, charity, and service. However, it’s important to acknowledge that many churches still remain committed to doing what is right—uplifting communities, promoting kindness, and supporting the less fortunate.
While prosperity isn’t inherently wrong, the focus of faith should remain on service and spiritual growth, not extravagant displays of wealth.
