A post on X (formerly Twitter) criticized COZA for flaunting wealth by welcoming a pastor with three Rolls Royces and a private jet. In response, someone commented, “Imagine leaving the Catholic Church for this garbage,” seemingly ignoring the fact that the Catholic Church has faced its own share of scandals.
While COZA’s extravagance raises valid concerns about the priorities of some modern churches, it is misleading to single out one denomination as flawless. The Catholic Church, like others, has had its challenges, but many faithful members still strive to uphold charity, humility, and service.
Rather than comparing flaws, the focus should remain on accountability and ensuring that all religious organizations reflect their core values.
