A post giving an update of a woman who uploaded a video of a police officer raping a girl in his custody had been dismissed because she refused to take a bribe to let it go. A comment on that post then read, “I hate this country so much.” While such frustration is understandable in the face of injustice, statements like this can unintentionally overshadow the resilience of individuals fighting for accountability.
