Following the tragic fire at actress Mercy Aigbe’s Lagos residence, many expressed sympathy, but one dismissive comment read, “And so we do contributions for her ..for this country people dey alive the born without fire.”
Such remarks trivialize someone’s personal loss and redirect focus to unrelated issues. While societal struggles exist, compassion costs nothing.
