While it’s true that leaders often appoint people from their own ethnic groups, normalizing such practices only reinforces division and inequality. This mindset overlooks the need for fairness and competence in appointments, which should be based on merit and the collective good, not ethnicity. The goal should be to create an inclusive system where leadership is not about promoting one tribe over another but about serving all Nigerians equally.
