“Some men do worse.”
This comment deflects accountability by comparing the ex-wife’s actions to hypothetical worse behaviors by men. While it is true that no one is perfect, using this argument to excuse or diminish the seriousness of paternity fraud is unproductive and unfair. Wrongdoing should not be justified or minimized by pointing fingers at others.
