Following the alleged divorce of veteran gospel singer Paul Nwokocha from his second wife, reactions flooded social media. Among them, a troubling comment read: “Na so my brother… Divorce as many as you can until you marry the right one.”
This mindset trivializes marriage and encourages a cycle of instability. Marriage is meant to be a commitment, not a trial-and-error process. Promoting reckless divorces rather than addressing the root causes of marital issues weakens the institution of marriage.
