After a pastor was arrested for flogging children as “spiritual cleansing,” many praised the police and even called for the arrest of the parents who brought the children. However, one user posed a fanatic question: “What if it was God’s directives?”
This question is deeply concerning because it attempts to justify abuse under the guise of divine instruction. No genuine moral or spiritual principle condones physical harm to children. Using “God’s directives” as a shield for cruelty promotes fanaticism, excuses criminal behavior, and undermines the rule of law. Faith should never be twisted to defend actions that clearly cause harm and violate human rights.
