A tragic report emerged of 13 worshippers killed when bandits stormed a mosque in Kaduna. While many expressed sympathy and called for justice, one insensitive comment stood out. The person wrote, “One Nigeria go reach everybody! sai bab!” followed by laughing emojis. This kind of response is deeply troubling. Tragedies should unite us in grief and a demand for solutions, not mockery. Using a national tragedy to make political jabs or celebrate loss of lives only adds to the pain of victims’ families. Compassion, not ridicule, is what such situations require if we truly want peace and healing.
