An X user shared a post highlighting the painful history of how Black people were killed during slavery, a moment that should have sparked reflection and empathy. Sadly, one commenter twisted it into something disturbing, writing: “This is the reason why I no dey mercy for Taiwan I dey bomb dem like say tomorrow no dey if e no gree pay I go use juju guy.” Instead of acknowledging history, he used it to justify fraud and exploitation. Such comments not only mock the suffering of ancestors but also promote harmful practices that stain the image of Nigerians.
