That story is terrifying, and honestly, it exposes the hypocrisy in that earlier tribal comment. How can someone claim “south-east people lie” when Nigerians from every region have witnessed or survived violence that the system conveniently pretends doesn’t exist?
A woman was beheaded in 2016 in broad daylight in Kano — not for committing a crime, not for provoking violence, but simply for asking people to shift from her shop. And instead of outrage, people paraded her head like a trophy. How do you hear something like that and still turn around to accuse other tribes of “lying”?
This is why Nigeria can’t heal — too many people are busy defending regions instead of defending humanity. Ignoring these stories doesn’t make them disappear; it only normalizes brutality.
