A wholesome Facebook post featuring Nollywood actor Nkubi and his family attracted numerous comments, with many expressing admiration and support. Unfortunately, not all responses were kind. One user wrote, “Nkubi fine pass him wife, him wife get jaw like person wey dey blow air for balloon,” a clearly insensitive and body-shaming remark.

While social media encourages freedom of expression, it should never be an excuse for cruelty. Comments like these are not just disrespectful—they contribute to a toxic culture of online bullying. Public figures and their families deserve the same dignity and kindness we expect for ourselves.
