A woman shared a painful comment based on her own experience, writing: “Women, don’t help broke or struggling men again. When they make it, they hate you with a pure hatred you can’t fathom and even plot to kill you if possible. Be wise o.” She explained this in response to another woman’s story, saying her own husband treated her even worse despite the fact that she had sponsored their marriage.

While her trauma and bitterness are understandable, turning that experience into a rule for all women and all struggling men is problematic. Not every relationship where a woman supports a man ends in betrayal or abuse. Many couples grow together with mutual respect. Personal pain should be acknowledged, but it should not be used to paint every struggling partner as dangerous.
