In a circulating video, a man was seen pouring water on a young woman simply because her outfit revealed her thighs. The post asked viewers whether his action was right, and while many condemned the behavior as harassment, one troubling comment stood out: “Call it harassment or whatever, I wholeheartedly support this.”

This kind of endorsement is dangerous. Supporting such humiliating and violent behavior normalizes abuse under the guise of “discipline” or “morality.” It encourages vigilante harassment and gives individuals the false belief that they are entitled to police other people’s bodies or clothing choices.

Worse still, it places blame on the victim instead of addressing the aggressor’s unacceptable conduct. No one deserves to be assaulted or humiliated because of their outfit. Comments like this fuel a culture where abuse is justified, personal boundaries are ignored, and women are subjected to public shaming in the name of self-righteousness.
