The disturbing post was about a man who confessed anonymously that he killed his girlfriend after investing over ₦1.8 million in her, because she reported him to the EFCC which made him lose everything. Instead of condemning the act, one very insensitive user wrote “Serves her right.” This is unacceptable because it openly supports the murder of a young woman, as if her life was disposable. No matter the betrayal or financial loss involved, killing is never the answer, and normalizing such violence in comments is extremely dangerous.
