A disturbing video surfaced online showing a Nigerian police officer physically assaulting a bus driver. The post didn’t explain what led to the altercation but clearly showed the officer’s unprofessional conduct. However, rather than condemning the officer’s actions and demanding accountability, one user reacted by writing, “If your father is this police officer, you can never make it in your life and you will constantly experience intimidation and harassment as you go about your daily life.”
This comment crosses a moral line by directing anger toward the officer’s children—innocent individuals with no role in the misconduct. Condemning wrongdoing is justified, but cursing or extending hate to a person’s family only spreads more negativity instead of promoting justice and reform.
