In response to a video exposing errors on an English teacher’s board, one commenter wrote, “You will first of all ask how much the teacher is paid. When schools pay teachers peanuts, what do you expect in return?” While low pay is a valid issue in education, it should never be an excuse for teaching incorrect information. If a teacher feels underpaid or unmotivated, the ethical choice would be to resign rather than mislead students.

Education shapes the future, and inaccurate teaching can harm students’ development. Instead of shifting blame, efforts should focus on holding schools accountable for fair wages while ensuring teachers maintain high standards to safeguard the quality of learning.
