A video celebrating Igbo tradition showed men dancing proudly in their cultural attire, one of them carrying sculpted heads as part of the performance — a reflection of heritage and symbolism. Sadly, a disrespectful comment followed: “Igbo people are the only tribe in Nigeria wey get useless and mumu culture.” Such statements are deeply offensive and reveal ignorance rather than insight. Every culture holds meaning to its people and deserves respect. Mocking traditions only deepens division and fuels tribal hate. Nigeria’s beauty lies in its cultural diversity, and no tribe’s heritage should ever be labeled “useless” for the sake of online mockery.
