When I saw a comment justifying the boy’s refusal to thank someone for a small amount of money, saying, “He knows say gone are those days when N5 could buy him sweets and biscuit,” I couldn’t help but shake my head. Sure, times have changed, and money doesn’t go as far as it used to, but that’s not the point. Gratitude isn’t about how much was given; it’s about appreciating the effort and kindness behind the gesture.
