A post showing TikTok influencers Jarvis and Peller having a misunderstanding, where Jarvis ended up yelling rudely at Peller, sparked mixed reactions. One comment, however, escalated the situation by suggesting violence, saying, “I just dey pray for the day when he go land her better slap when she dey insult am. Make she calm down, if not hand go touch her.”

This comment is not only disturbing but dangerous. Encouraging violence as a solution to disagreements is unacceptable and harmful. No matter the nature of the argument, resorting to physical harm is never the answer.

We must advocate for peaceful conflict resolution and respect in all interactions, both online and offline. Violence should never be normalized as a response to verbal disagreements.
