Following the tragic post about the girl who died after being raped by her uncle and cousin, another lady added fuel to the controversy by writing, “I dare you to bring statistical evidence that a lot of men do not violate, harass, coerce, or convince women to engage in unwilling sexual acts.”
While her frustration about sexual abuse is understandable, such a statement unfairly paints all men as potential predators without acknowledging that sexual violence is committed by individuals, not an entire gender. Comments like this deepen gender division instead of encouraging awareness and justice for victims. Fighting abuse requires fairness, education, and accountability—not hostility or unfounded generalizations that alienate responsible men who also stand against sexual violence.
