In response to the court granting Yahaya Bello N500 million bail over an alleged N80 billion fraud, one comment stated, “Nigeria is a useless country.”
While it’s understandable that people feel disillusioned by systemic issues like corruption and injustice, it’s crucial not to generalize the entire country. Such comments undermine the efforts of individuals and organizations working to bring about positive change. Instead of labeling the country as “useless,” it’s more productive to focus on addressing the specific individuals or institutions involved in perpetuating these problems, holding them accountable, and pushing for reforms that benefit all.
