Instead of addressing the Ibom Air Flight remand warrant issue, the commenter wrote, “Time will come when people will stop going to Kenya to see monkeys and elephants. Rather they will come to Nigeria to see anumals walking on the street,” insulting Nigerians by comparing them to animals and implying the country is a zoo. Such remarks are offensive, irrelevant, and damaging. They perpetuate harmful stereotypes, tarnish Nigeria’s global image, and encourage self-hate. While it’s valid to criticize problems, degrading an entire population with dehumanizing language only fuels hostility and distracts from constructive dialogue that could lead to real solutions.
