A man narrated a story online about how someone begged him to help buy bread and tea at a supermarket. Out of kindness, he agreed — only for the person to start picking two crates of eggs, a big tin of tea, semo, and a large bottle of groundnut oil. Shocked, the man had to ask the person to return the items.

While many found humor in the story, one insensitive comment took it too far, reading: “Nothing u fit tell me wey I no go gree say na PH this one happen… Na dem b dat.”

This response stereotypes people from Port Harcourt as greedy, turning a simple story about human behavior into an unnecessary regional insult.
