After the murder of a man in Port Harcourt over his sexuality, one user commented, “Say no to homosexualism, it’s an offense period,” showing no concern for the victim’s life. While homosexuality is illegal under Nigerian law, that does not in any way justify jungle justice or taking another person’s life. The law exists to ensure due process, not to give people the right to kill or harm others. Supporting such actions only promotes chaos and devalues humanity. No matter one’s beliefs or moral convictions, no one deserves to be killed by a mob. Justice must always come through lawful means, not violence.
