A man shared a shocking chat where a lady borrowed N20,000 from him, then blatantly refused to pay back, claiming the amount was too small for him to even ask for. Instead of condemning her dishonesty, some commenters somehow found a way to twist the blame back to the man. One person wrote, “E good for you cos them beg you normally you no go give,” implying he deserved to be scammed simply because he might not have gifted her money voluntarily. Another added, “Normally me, if your app dey disturb I no dey send you anything. That scope no dey work for me.”

One user then dropped a questionable take: “That’s why, when u ask me to borrow you money, I’ll just send what I can afford to gift you.”

Normalizing irresponsibility doesn’t make you wise — it only encourages more manipulation.
