In response to a man’s dilemma about whether to take his wife or sister to Canada, one user went as far as stereotyping: “If she is an Igbo woman, in fact women from south… that’s a big red flag.” Such remarks are deeply unfair and harmful. They single out Igbo and Southern women, branding them negatively without cause. Marriage should never be judged by tribal or regional stereotypes but by individual character and mutual trust. Comments like this only fuel division and prejudice, reducing women to baseless assumptions instead of respecting them as unique individuals capable of loyalty and love.
