Another reaction to the Valentine’s Day dilemma took an even more troubling turn. Instead of addressing the situation or encouraging understanding, one comment resorted to a sweeping attack: “There’s nothing on earth as wick#d as the heart of a woman.”
This kind of statement is outright misogyny. It shifts a personal relationship issue into a blanket condemnation of an entire gender. One woman’s frustration—right or wrong—cannot be used to define millions of women with different values, experiences, and capacities for empathy. Such comments do nothing to solve the problem at hand; they only reinforce prejudice and hostility. Relationship conflicts require nuance and compassion, not gender-based insults that deepen division and silence meaningful conversation.
