An X user wrote a disturbing statement claiming, “If not for sex, there’s nothing that will make me relate with a woman. That’s the only thing God created them for. Sex aside and reproduction, they have no contribution to society.”
This comment is overtly misogynistic and dehumanizing. It reduces women to sexual objects and denies their humanity, intellect, labor, and impact across every sector of society. Women contribute as professionals, caregivers, leaders, innovators, and citizens, and dismissing these roles reflects ignorance rather than truth.
Such rhetoric does not merely insult women; it promotes a worldview that normalizes disrespect and exclusion. Statements like this fuel gender hostility and undermine social progress. Devaluing an entire group based on sex contributes nothing to discourse and exposes a failure to recognize shared humanity and societal interdependence.
