A lady recently posted about the attractiveness of modesty, sparking mixed reactions. While some supported her, others criticized her views. One comment stood out, stating, “At the end of the day, everything falls back to impress men. Men are the prize.” This sentiment reflects a problematic mindset that places men as the central validation of a woman’s worth.
In reality, modesty—or any personal choice—shouldn’t revolve around impressing men or gaining approval from anyone. Women should be empowered to define their value and express themselves in ways that align with their beliefs and confidence. The idea that men are the “prize” diminishes the individuality and autonomy of women. True empowerment comes from self-respect, not external validation.
