Following Omoyele Sowore’s call for a revolution after Dele Farotimi’s arrest for defamation, one comment stated, “Defamation of Character is a crime in Nigeria, you guys should not allow this mumu boy call Sowore deceive you.” While insulting Sowore is uncalled for, another response took it further by declaring, “I have come to know that Yoruba people are the problem we have in Nigeria.”
This shift from addressing the issue to tribal attacks is both harmful and unnecessary. It derails constructive discourse and perpetuates division in a nation that needs unity to solve pressing issues.
