In the wake of the uproar over Kwam 1’s alleged role in forcing ValueJet pilots to breach safety protocol, many took to social media to express their concerns. However, one comment shifted focus from the individual to an entire ethnic group, stating: “Na Yoruba people go scatter this country last last.”
Such comments are deeply problematic, as they promote ethnic profiling and distract from the real issue. Criticism should be directed at actions, not communities. Holding one person accountable does not justify dragging an entire ethnic group into blame.
